Pre-K Counts
Owatin Creek is proud to be a site for Berks County's Pre-K Counts program, which is led by the Berks County Intermediate Unit and open to children ages 3-4 in the Exeter Township School District who qualify for this preschool program.
Pre-K Counts strives to:
- Prepare and teach preschool children the school readiness skills needed to be ready for school success.
- Foster preschool students' intellectual, social and emotional growth.
- Provide opportunities for children and families in our program that will help prepare them for future school and life successes.
- Increase students' chances of doing well in school, attending college or trade school and having a successful career.
Eligible students are between the ages of 3 and 4 by August 31st of the fall they enter the program. Pre-K Counts is free to eligible families who earn up to 300% of the federal poverty level.
Open enrollment will take place in mid-April at Owatin Creek Elementary.
